>>So Doug is the hypo also albino
No,...the two are totally different genetic mutations.....the "hypo"(hypomelanistic)morph still retains some melanin(black/dark pigment)although it is very greatly reduced, leaving a very light gray color, and very reduced pattern(bands) as well. ...the prefix "hypo" literally means "reduced",.....and "melanistic" means "having melanin"(dark/black pigment)....put the two words together and you have "hypomelanistic"(reduced black/melanin). The given name "extreme" takes it one step further, and makes the snake not only very "clean",(no black tipping on scales)as in most average hypos, but they also have greatly reduced pattern as well, the melanin is reduced to the point of being "transluscent",or "opaque",very light gray bands, as well and the pupils of the eyes being "ruby-red"............An albino(amelanistic) animal on the other hand, is simply void of ALL dark pigmentation, leaving the animal "white" where it would otherwise be black,in essence making all the remaining colors VERY clean looking........hope this helped............Doug
