Has anyone created an albino Boaconda

vision Jan 06, 2007 01:07 PM

Years ago I had a cross between a columbian boa and a yellow anaconda.

I had it up until it was about 6 feet long. Very aggressive snake that looked a little more like an anaconda than a boa constrictor.

Is anyone currently working with this hybrid? It would probably make a cool albino.

I paid $750 for this animal way back in the early 80's from Pet Farm in Fl. I seem to recall that there were two of them in existence.

I don't have any pics and I don't know if it was fertile or not as I didn't know how to breed boas back then.

I think all the BoaConda were males and none ever showed any interest in breeding. I believe they were thought to be "mules". The last one I saw was about 14 years ago and a 6 ft. adult "male". They were a cross between a Colombian and a Yellow Anaconda. At least I am pretty sure of that.

I would love a nice hypo boa green anaconda.. I think that would be an awsome mix, even though Im strongly against hybreds.. If anyone breds a green to a boa tell me..
