We are having very unwinter weather here in Central Va.Decided to take a walk at the local Nature Center and see IF anything was out.In a first for us,we saw more snakes than turtles!Flipping one cover board back in an overgrown meadow revealed 2 young Eastern Garters and a mid sized Rough Green. We also saw two basking turtles too mud caked to Id
All in all,a surprisingly good day for Jan sixth in Central Va

Finally starting to get cold here in So. Cal (past two weeks)! However it's supposed to be in the upper 70s tomarrow. As much as I hate the cold weather, It's got me worried about whats going to happen if the reptiles dont cool down enough to hybernate? I am still seeing fence lizards all over the place!
Your warm weather in the north east is really scary!
This global warming crap is really starting to freak me out!

Hope you all have a reptile filled / Safe new year!
Cant wait to get out and get some new pics.

IS that rattlesnake from recently? I'm in Palm Desert right now, it is suposed to be near 80 today, you think there is even a slight chance of rattlers being out? If so where and when do I look?

thanks
