Is it true?

Do Bearded Dragon's really need a background on the tank to make them feel more secure? I've read that on a couple different sites and am curious. It seems like Gizmo can see himself in the glass and gets worked up about it. Today he was freaking out in the corner of the tank and I picked him up and he calmed down some. He is in a 30 long and his basking spot is between 95 and 100 degrees, his ambiant temp is around 80. He loves the log we bought him to climb closer to the basking bulb. I just don't know about the background thing cause he doesn't do the jumping and clawing at the glass all the time. I swear he gets cuter every day. LOL I'm such a Mom.

might make them feel better

we put a paper towel around the tank's or take the egg cartons and just put them around it .. so they cant see them selves

.. sence of the 7 of them go nuts haha

I'm thinking I might have to find something. I don't want to put too much money into this home because I know that I will have to find something bigger for him soon but I want him to be happy too. I call Gizmo him but I really just don't know what he is and neither does the guy my hubby bought him from. Oh well, guess it doesn't really matter cause we aren't looking to breed. Maybe some day I'll figure it out. I think I just made him mad cause he was basking so nicely and here I come to pet him and picked him up. LOL

post a picture.. maybe someone could try and guess what he is ..

also umm maybe you should just buy the big cage for him and then design it .. that way you dont have to waste money twice .
and he will be happy with extra room too
