Hi, i would like to know if someone can suggest some books about hognose. I search a lot but find only one who seems to be not very pertinent. Thanks!

Hi
Thanks for the name of the book, i will try to find it.
In fact, the book i talk is in fact an article in a magazine, Reptil mag. Maybe you can find them at http://www.animalia-editions.net It's a very basic article for beginner.
I asked to a friend who's reptiles'books distributor and it was the only reading he know about hognose.
I don't think my article can help you
Thanks!

Mélanie,
I have yet to see a captive care book that I could agree with enough to recommend. In most cases, I find factually incorrect information to the point that if you followed it as written, it would result in a dead/unhappy snake. It's better to take a consensus of web info you find, and hang out here on this forum!

Your English is fine!

Here are two suggestions. As should be obvious from the titles, the first is an academic monograph, the second is geared toward the hobbyist.

Platt, Dwight R. 1969. Natural history of the hognose snakes, Heterodon platyrhinos and Heterodon nasicus. Univ. Kansas Publ. Mus. Nat. Hist. 18:253-420.

Rossi, John V., and Roxanne Rossi. 2003. Snakes of the United States and Canada: Natural History and Care in Captivity. Krieger Publishing Co., Malabar, FL. xxxvi & 520 pp.
