Was going to start a new thread tonight but ran out of time. Almost have to plan ahead to do it since this forum is the way it is
You can use a Pepsi (yack) can if you want, but the red color is what we are after. You can also do a 7-up can and you can get an idea what is going on. Monitor’s display color in RGB (Red-Green-Blue) so any of them colors will kind of tell you what is going on.
It’s like when you print something on your printer at home. Most come in 4 colors, CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black). When you look at your screen it may look right, but when you print something, you might not get the color that you want. That is because you are turning 3 colors into 4 colors. Some of the low-end printers only have three colors that print, but not in the “good” way. If you only got three colors in your printer, that means it is going to print all three colors in the same spot to make black. Not a very good use of your color cartridges, as the color runs out VERY fast since you need to print three colors to get black.
This is “almost” the same thing that is going on and the battle that we are all facing. I will think more on the subject on what we can all do to make things better and post more in the next few days. Joel, you are on the right track though in wanting to look at your neighbors monitor to see what it looks like.
Here is three colors that are 100%. That means there is no other color but the color that each square is.
Until next time...
Steve
