Lavender sulfur

VicsVariables Jan 06, 2007 11:40 PM

Wow, I was just reading the scandalous thread about using magic markers and hi-liters on snakes....very informative...lol
Nokturnel Tom, you posted a pic of your lavender sulfer. What a gorgeous snake. Do most of them turn out that vibrant, or do you have a particularly awesome one there? I might have to look into getting one of those.

Yep, they all do turn out great. The only marginal ones i have seen are outcrosseed. But even they are nice in their own right.

This is one of the original females that produced a lot of the lavender sulfurs you see today.

Thanks BlueRosy. I enjoy looking at the baby pics you post in the classifieds every year. Do you have any pics you could post of an adult Lavender Sulfur? (Was that one Nokturnel Tom posted full grown?)
Thank you for your response.

This is a pic of one actually taken in 2005 (Yes the snake is bigger now). Thats a truck tire for size referrence.

I was cleaning the snake room today and this one crawled on the floor. I was amazed at how big it is today. I have (I think) about 10 adults and they are all HUGE.

Sorry about the bad pic but you can see they get plenty big.

Oh thats just great. Years and years of breeding for abnormalities and I end up with a cornsnake.

don't know who these went to:

bluerosy Jan 07, 2007 02:25 PM

Beleive it or not this snake went to a female who was not happy when she saw the snake. She wanted something more orange. I explained to her that they get more ornage as the mature. She did not beleive me. IMO this one probably turned out the best of all.

Patton Jan 07, 2007 02:48 PM

It makes you wonder sometimes.........Not enough orange? Did you ask her if she was color blind? That little thing is beautiful! Nice work Rainer.

I think ones with more white would look just as cool as the ones with more orange, just personal.

Awesome! I love the size, too. Thank you so much for posting these pics.
