Descibe your old tank, could make a diff on what kind of gecko to put in it. Im thinking Tokay, White lined or Golden Gecko right off. Is your tank glass on all 4 sides or is is sreen sided for venting? How tall/ long is it. this could make a diff for what kind of Gecko could live in it.

All in all, geckos are MUCH easier than chameleons in terms of eating and basic care. Like he said though we need more info like dimensions of the tank and what it is made of.

You can keep virtually any arboreal gecko in there except some larger species such as tokays and giant leaftails which need a whole lot of room. I would recommend several small day geckos which make for an awesome display. Giant day geckos should work as well, however, I would not do more than a pair. Are you interested in holding the gecko or simply looking at it? Do you want it active during the day or at night? Do you want to feed live or fruits/baby food?

Try a crested gecko
Very easy and hardy and tolerate handling well. They would do well in your humid setup. They do not need UVB nor heat because they like room temperature the best. Look up info on them and see if you like them. I breed them and I love them and think they are really easy to keep. they are very cute too.
Racodactylus ciliatus is their sientific name look up information on them and see what you think. They were thought to be extinct but were found again I think in 1994 on New Caledonia
