I have a 4 month old Brazillian Rainbow Boa,and I got it last week.I have been keeping it in a small Rubbermaid container.
The problem is,when the container has been shut for a while,and you open it,it smells like bug spray. I was told it was off gassing. I have a larger glass tank that I have been considering putting her in.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I would stay away from the glass tank if possible for a couple reasons. First snakes can push through the screen tops pretty easy. 2nd is humidity, BRB need it, or they dry out fast. Not sure what the gassing is, but I keep by ETB in a rubbermaid, and Blood in one, just make sure to open it up daily to vent it out. Or go get a AP cage, they hold humidity great. Or a vision and tape up the back. I am sure in the BRB forum they can advise you, but thats what I would do because I heard they need humididty.

I dont know what kind of screen tops the previous poster is used to but I've used them for years with no escapes.
Aquariums will hold humidity fine if you cover the top with something. I've housed a atb in an aquarium for almost 3 years since it was a newborn and I use a piece of plexi to cover the screen with and it has worked perfectly.

Snakes are very powerful and when they want to try a screen would be no problem to push through.
