Help-I'm having terrible time trying to upload photos into kingsnakes gallery

rodmalm Aug 09, 2003 12:54 AM

I don't know what is going on and I have tried everything I can think of. I have posted pics. before, but now I can't. Everytime I upload a picture, I get a message that it uploaded successfully and I get a box with a X in it. (I can upload photos into my ads on kingsnake fine--works every time, I just can't upload them into the photo gallery area!) I have plenty of memory in my account still.

Here is what I have done:
1) tried both .gif and .jpg file types
2) tried 3 different photo editing software programs (kodak software that came with my camera, Adobe photo delux home, Adobe photo delux business edition)
3) tried multiple sizes and shapes of photos
4) I've checked other photos properties of other users in the gallery area and they all seem to be the same (.jpg files of about equal size).

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? I've occasionally seen this when viewing others photos in the forum areas of kingsnake and assumed they uploaded something wrong or had a bad URL link. Could it be a problem with a setting/missing file on my computer?

Here is the URL of my kingsnake photo album--just to show you I have done this in the past just fine!

One other thing just occured to me and I just tried it and it worked! I am so happy--it's not really that important, but this was driving me crazy. Apparently the problem was that you can't use any spaces in the photo's file name. I eliminated all the spaces and symbols (like #) and it is now working fine.

Thanks anyway,
Rodney

It was frustrating to have to go in & rename my JPGs.
