Local...pics

First picture is just of the male. What locale do you think he is. Below is a body pic of him with the female. The female is on the left with the blue stripe. I think she is looks like a Sorong locale, and thats what she was sold to me as. They have been breeding the last 2 months, and I though she was getting follicle development in this picture, but she ate for me last week. Who knows....guess we will have to see!

Looks more like a couple of Jayapuras to me.....or possibly even Kaufias? Sorongs tend to be a darker green that the animals you've posted. But who knows. There are too many variables and information is only as good as the source it comes from. Either way you look at it, you have a very nice looking pair of chondros.

Good luck with them.

I was going to say Biak on the male, and probably Sorong on the female....not sure about her though. Maybe outcrosses?

Biaks tend to be more of a dirty pale green as adults usually with a black tail. Sorongs are a darker green with a black tail. Jayapuras are a softer green and usually have a blue tail. There are always exceptions to the rule, but neither look like biaks to me. They could be crosses. Who knows?
