Re Gifting when during feeding time

Rottenweiler9 Aug 09, 2003 07:07 AM

question, if one of my snakes does not eat a rat that I let unfreeze, is it ok to feed to another if the one snake does not eat it. I hate waisting food, I feel bad for the rat.

Second question, can you skip colloso rats and go straight to small rabbits.

Its unadvisable in most cases to "Share" food this especialy if a animals mouth has been on it. But to your other question I no longer use rats as a food source period. If you can find rabbits it is easier to start them young on Pink rabits and just increase the size of the rabbits as they grow. I have found that most snakes will accept them and you will get better growth, plus it is cheaper than feeding rats. -Shaun D
