What might be wrong with my yellow rat???

yellowrat92104 Jan 23, 2005 12:26 PM

My yellow rat usually eats 3 fuzzies every three days. the past two weeks she has only eaten one a week. She/he looks as if she/he is ready to shed but she hasn't and she has looked liek this for a couple weeks. what could possibly be wrong with her?

It might be worth calling up a reptile vet and asking his/her advice and wheather you should take it in for a check up. it cost me $85 for a detailed exam of my corn snake because he was over 1m so it's not that expensive.

on further thought, it might be worth it to soak your corn in luke warm water for 15 mins. use a rubbermaid container with a few ait holed and put a rock in the middle for the snake to get out of the water if it needs to and leave it in the luke warm water for 15 mins, it generally helps with shedding and pooping
good luck to ya
