Are you worried about your snake ingesting the substrate?

yes i would be worried about the substrate, and the substrate looks way to wet,if it is always that wet it could lead to infections.

Not really, in fact he always eats the substrate after feeding. I think he eats it to pack in some fibre for digestion. Then he finnishes up with a big drink of water.

The substrate is expanded coconut cube. You just add water and the stuff expands into the stuff in my pic.
