Hi everyone
I have kept some kingsnake, some ball python too over the years, all of these are easy to care for. I never breed them, I always wanted to but always sold either the male or the femelle in exchange of something else before doing it lol. Damn me
! I also have taked care of some other pythons and boa for some friend while they were out.
Now I want something a little bit harder and a little bit more "beautiful" in my opinion and a little more rare in our collection. I really like the rat snake, their head, and their aggresivness to eat.
Asian Rat snake are really awesome. I know some get stressed out and shouldn't be handled to avoid stressed them.
I don't want some WC, cause I do not approuve these unless it's to breed them (and there is no cb avaible) ot produce CB so people don,t buy other wc.
Who work with Asian Rat Snake ?
like the
Green Bush (Elaphe prasina)
Green Red-Tailed (Gonyosoma oxycephala (was in Elaphe family before) )
Chinese bamboo ratsnake (Elaphe porphyracea nigrofasciatus)
Thai bamboo ratsnake (Elaphe Porphyracea coxi)
Japanese RatSnake (Elaphe climacophora)
Chinese Green Ratsnake (Gonyosoma frenatum)
Spreckled Racers
Rhynchophis boulengeri (there is green and gray rhinos I think)
The mandarin (Elaphe mandarina) is also a good looking one, but CB are rare and still hard to keep captive cause they stress easily.
It's also really hard to find really good information on these. I found some info on VPI and mostly on kingsnake.com about these or by talking with some breeders around here but the information is not clear cause they never kept them, just heard of it.
If anyone could help me, I would be happy
P.S. : If no one is working with them in canada, how much would it cost to get them from the state ? paper, border line cost etc.. ?
