enclosure odours

I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem.Now first off,I change the newspaper lining the bottom of my Ball's enclosure every week.I also clean the glass daily.But I have noticed that after he eats his rat,there is still an odour when I open up his home.Anything to rectify this situation?Thanks in advance..............
