Hi, I've had my rosy boa for a few days. She ate about 48 hours ago and she is not moving around very much. Is this normal after eating? I have taken measures to increase the temperature for her, if that was a problem. Also, is it normal for her to bite me? I'm giving her time to settle in (a week or so) and I'll try to handle her again. Is it possible to traumatise boas? I did ACCIDENTALLY drop her (not far, a couple of feet) the first time she bit me. I want to her to associate my smell with good things!

Hi
Any snake, will be slower/inactive after eating. The body is trying to breakdown the feeder and absorb its ....stuff
Without knowing some details, here some simple thoughts.
Leave him alone. After eating, give him time to digest, this is very important. Does he have a "cave" to hide in? Heat pad?
Feeding timing, size of feeder, quality of feeder. This takes a bit of time to figure out. Do the research on the net, I have heard some pretty stupid Pet Store advice.
Have Fun, this is a hick-up, you will get to understand your snake soon anough.
