Congrats! I think you may see some yellow and tan come out toward the posterior as it matures, but that should be a screamer. The contrast on the anterior third between the blotches and background will be stunning. Did you only have 4 eggs in your clutch?

Al Stotton Aug 09, 2003 02:24 PM

Hi steve

I know where your coming from with the thoughts on the yellow/tan appearing. But i have to disagree,if only cos i had hatchlings with the anterior silver/gray in the past but non ever
looked the same all the way down even as hatchlings.I have hatched at least 100 deppei deppei over thew past 4-5 years and along with my friend in holland this is the first we ever saw like this.
As for the eggs there were 8 laid(my smallest ever from that female)1 went off instantly of the remainin 7 only 4 hatched!!(sigh)
speak soon cheers for the input

I will defer to your experience on how you see her development. I love seeing some new twists in the deppei complex. I think there are as many colors locked up in these guys as the corn snakes. We are just scratching the surface. Pits rule!
