Can anyone post pics of what this looks like? Is it contagious (I wouldn't think so myself - but just want reassurance)? How long does it take for it to 1st appear? What to do to get rid of it? I haven't found anything of any help (and the kingsnake forum search bites)...

I don't have picts...but some were posted...I think on the BP forum in the last day or two. To me it looks like rust on the scales. Starting it can look like specks and later include more scales if left untreated and kept damp. Dry substrate, dab the sites with betadine and or neosporin. Though I usually used only the betadine dilute. If it is more than a tiny bit a vet might be a good idea.
