Pregnant beardie?

ch42387 Sep 25, 2005 03:40 PM

I have had my bearded dragon for about a year and a half. I am not sure how old it is because i got it from a friend but it is full grown. My question is that she is showing the bahavior of a dragon that is pregnant ie. looking aroung for a place to burrow. I have no male so I am quite confused by this behavior. So I would like to know if there is anyway for the beardies to reproduce without a male.

bearded dragons can produce eggs without being near a male dragon. They will be infertile of course but the same preperations will be needed to ensure she lays the eggs safely. Prepare a proper lay box. Once she is done laying her eggs you can freeze then toss them.
