I have a baby crested gecko and I'm wondering how old it will be when I can tell it's sex?
Typically 4-6 months you are able to tell if the gecko is male or female. However some males are 'late bloomers' and may take up to 9 months before they are obviously males. Other than the hemipenis bulges in males, they also have femoral pours but these are very small, especially on very young geckos. You will be able to see quite a few of these using a 8x jewelery loup. I can't remember exactly if crested gecko males have three or more rows of it that is for another kind of Rhac...don't recall off hand.
