I'm not an expert. But my beardy always turns grey before shedding. Sometimes only a leg turns grey...or other individual body parts. This section soon sheds.
Any other symptoms? Beardies can and do shift colors. Usually as a reaction to stress or sudden temp changes. Their pattern usually stays the same....but the shades of colour can change quite a bit.
Keep an eye on him(her?)...if any signs of illness appear (loss of appitite or lethargy) then post again.
