my gecko was accidentally kept outside in a cold car for four hours. i did my best to get him warmed up again. what can i do to further ensure his survival? please help me. i dont want to wake up tommorrow with a dead pet.

Other than getting him back up to ideal temperatures as quickly as possible, there really isn't anything else you can do. I do not know if leopard geckos ever enter a hybernation (or brumation) like state, but if do, most likely he will recover from the cold temperatures. Keep him warm (not overly warm, just set him in a cage with the ideal temperature range for leopard geckos) and leave him quietly. Once warmed up he should start showing signs of life. If you don't see any after a day or so, then most likely he is gone and very sorry for the loss.
But if he does perk up and move about normally, I would skip feeding him for one night, then feed as normal afterwards.
