My wife just bought me a tokay for christmas and it recently started falling off the glass during the day and staying on its side until I touched it then it was very aware, does anyone know if this is normal or is something wrong?

not very familier with tokays, but i do know with crested geckos, another climbing gecko, often loose traction on glass or plastic when they are starting to shed. as it doesn't take very long for geckos to shed, he should be back to his climbing self in a couple days. however, to be on the safe said, double check his husbantry, to make sure nothing is lacking or changed.
