Home Made incubators!

gecko_guy01 Jun 01, 2006 02:13 AM

Hey all...I've noticed my fertile leopord gecko diging around in her lay box tonight and have come to the realisation i have no incubator, the top of my fridge wont work because its cold, and the hot water tank is blocked off. The cheapest incubator i can find here in vic. BC is 175.00 ...

Does anyone have a simple, proven, cost efective way of maybe makeing one out of an aquarium or something?

I beleive you can get horavator incubators for less than that, at least the small one. However, I do have a couple links to sites that tell you how to build your own incubator. Hopefully these will help.

well...that night she laid an egg! She's aparently been laying two but she just went through a move.i Ended up putting the egg in a ziplock container with some holes for ventilation and put it on the small shelf below one or my leopord gecko's heating pad. Humidity and Temp. seem fine.

i work at a pet store in welland, ontario. i make incubators out of a styrofoam box, and an aquarium heater. i sell them for 40 dollar including vermiculite.
