Crested Gecko Needs Help

meepit Jun 12, 2006 05:59 AM

I may have gotten in over my head on this one. I rescued a crested Gecko.
He can't stick to walls because of the layers and layers of shed stuck to his toes and feet and he’s super skinny. I soaked his feet for 20 minutes and got the thick amount of shed off his feet however his front feet look horrible. His toes are so floppy they look useless. Is that normal or what?
And I need to know what I can feed him to help fatten him up in a hurry. I just happen to have crested gecko powdered food lying around (though I’ve never owned a cresty before, so don’t ask) But he doesn’t seem interested in it at all, at least with it mixed in water anyway. The previous owners said he hasn’t been feed in a while (whatever that means) but he dosn't seem to want to eat the food I'm providing

he doesn't look too bad. i suggest trying to offer mealworms, if he accepts them. they have a higher fat content than crickets and will add weight to your gecko fairly quickly
