Red Wigglers?

JethrozMom Aug 09, 2003 01:42 PM

Hi guys...

I've found my dragons absoutely LOVE red wigglers. I know i shouldnt feed them as a staple, but what i usually do is put 4 medium sized ones on their greens, two for each dragon. Is that too many? I dont want anything to happen to my guys, i love em!

I just got a small container, i dont even know how many worms are in there, honestly. I figured if it was ok for them to have them on a regular basis, i might start a culture of them.

Ideas?
Thanks!
Jamie

nah.. it shouldn't hurt them at all .... i occasionaly feed spike red wigglers when there is over flow from my water dragons feeding..in fact he is my regular garbage disposal... eating leftovers.. in fact that is all the protien he gets.. leftover crickets, supers, and wigglers...( keep in mind i feed all my animals out of there cages so its not like i am transferring any bacteria). they contain quite a bit of water though (if i remember correctly) so they may give them diarrhea... i wouldn't use as a staple just as a treat
