I found out a couple days ago that the green tree frog on occasions in habits brackish water in the wild. I may sound like a geek for saying this but, I think this is pretty freakin cool.so far that I know this is a list of amphibians that I have listed in my head that can stand being in brackish conditions in the wild: green tree frog
cane(marine) toad
some species of cecilians

also, is any one here familiar with frogs native to Nova Scotia? my Grandparents have a cottage beside a brakish river there, and My Grandpa has said that he has seen various frogs swimming in the inlets of the river can anyone tell me which species these are? does any one know of any other amphibians that inhabit brackish water conditions? does any one know where in southern Ontario where I can get cecilias? thanks in advanced for any info.

Good luck
