Fire salamanders

Newearth Jul 01, 2004 02:28 PM

I have just seen some adult Fire Salamanders(Salamandra salamandra). I have never kept Salamanders before, so what size tank is needed, best temperature are they aquatic or semiaquatic?
Please help also any good books to recomend, or web sites. I really like these but only if I can give them the requirements that they need.

A good size tank is a 5-10 gallon for one or two newts. The temperature should never go above 24`C. A good web site is www.newt150.tripod.com. That is where I went when i got into newts.
Good Luck!
