very small invertibrates amd veribrates can be fed to red spotted newts. Things such as tiny crickets, bloodworms, earthworms, wingless fruitflies, small frog tadpoles, whiteworms, tubifex worms, small gubbies and other small fish, brine shrimp and ghost shrimp and pretty much anything else that is small enough to fit in their mouths and not struggle too much.

I also recommend doing a search on the internet for red spotted newt care sheets for more information about these little newts.

I feed mine brine shrimp (frozen blocks) and bloodworms (more frozen blocks) your local fish store or superpet or any other place that caters to animals should have these. i feed one block 3 times a week and have to remove the excess.
