We have recently moved near Vancouver, BC and found a fire belly newt in our yard. Do they actually live in the wild out here? We didn't know if we should have kept it as a pet since I used to keep newts in terrariums as a teenager. The tempation was there to keep it but if it was wild that would be wrong. We did let it go.
