African Dwarf Frogs -- Fighting

sportygurl3392 Sep 21, 2005 04:27 PM

i have a male and female afican dwarf frogs
i have had them for a while now, and they have mated before
recently they have been fighting
it happened about 1 month agao for 2 dyas then stopped, and it has now started again
they only fight when there is food, and the rest of the time thre is enough
this looks very violent, and i have seen their "war wounds" (red marks on the sides that they have been bitten on)
the last time my male was fighting the female, and now my female is fighting my male

what the heck is going on?
i know that they are community aniamls and not supposed to fight
is this normal?
what should i do?

i know that i am feeding them enough, however one will always hog the food, but they both eat well, and are active

any help on this would be great
thanx in advanced

though I don't know anything about dwarf frogs, the fact they are fighting and injuring eachother, would suggest you should separate them for awhile, to at least both have healed from their injuries.
