Black Stuff

Ok, there's black stuff on the head of my Fire Bellied Toad. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is there a way to cure it?

Have you tried to gently remove it? I beleive shed skin can sometimes look almost black when bunched up on the body if not shed completely.

If it won't come off or show any signs of coming off with gentle rubbing/cleaning, not sure what this could be. May be best to consult with a vet experienced with frogs
