where can i give my turtle a good home in edmonton?

i have a 2yr old red eared slider, i just recently moved out of my house and am living on my own..now i dont have time and the money to take care of it and i dont want to just give it to a punk who doesnt know what hes doing, is there a center where i can bring it? u think the spca will take it?
