camay123 Apr 25, 2006 06:02 PM

My turtle, a 1 year old, pseudogeographica Kohni, map turtle has made something im unaware of.

Two times, she released a long white string from her fecal hole. Something solid but could be broke.

any idea on what it is ?

Regards,
Patrick

Only two things come to mind, internal parasite (worm of some sort) or sperm plug. A fecal can be done by your reptile vet to check for parasites or you can just take in a sample of the whitish substance. If it's a parasite or just sperm, the vet certainly will be able to tell quickly enough.
