Hi Folks,

For those who knew him, Mike Rankin died peacefully in his sleep this morning of a heart attack.

Mike worked for many years at the Museum of Nature in the Herpetology section. He had a passion for all reptiles but peaked with turtles.

Mike was one of the founders of Ottawa Amphibian and Reptile Association and was really the foundation around which the club revolved. He had a cheery manner and a kind heart. He would offer help to anyone, any time. We are going to miss him terribly.
