March 11, 8 degrees, still winter...and I saw my first painted turtle of the year! Starting early this year, this made my week, lololol.

THats not a painted turtle thats a snapping turtle! I find painted turtles all the time, and rarely do i see snapping turtles. Thats awesome though, were did you find these little cuties?
