you dont want to put 2 male Tokays together, they will fight. males have a v shaped line of large pores above their vent like Leos/AFTs but i dont see the bulges on my Tokay like my other male geckos. heres a pic, not best in the world but may help in checking yours

Hi,
just a few experiences....
unlike most other geckos, sometimes Tokay males can get along well. I had a group of 2,2 in a 770 g tank fo some years, till one males sadly died by accident. The two big males (SVL approx 7" each) spend all their time together. Even though ten tank was big, there was hardly ever more than 1 ft between the two. They slept the same place and shared guarding eggs and babies.
In the last 20 years I had two such pairs of friends.
In both cases all other males vere immediately attacked.
So Tokays semm to be able to identify each other individually and if grown up, two males may get along well.
But introducing adult males to each other in most -but maybe not all- cases is impossible.

Thats interesting, i havent got that far as far as seeing how family oriented they are. i dont have that big of tank, thats huge. i have kept all my babies in the same tank and i have 5 month olds down to new hatchlings. they all cuddle together during the day and i have never seen agression from one tokay towards another. ive noticed when putting new ones in, even back with my adults, the new tokays will go up to the established ones and lay side by side or on top of them
