I know that John A at Cybersalvator is currently working with them. I had a w.c. pair last year, since captive bred just aren't available. These animals are deffinatly not the best w.c. to buy. They are very shy and skiddish. Mine were always in burrows, and I really never got a chance to see them. They are a very beautiful monitor though. Cumingi only come from the Phillipines, and since exportation isn't legal, there probably won't be many more slipping in any time soon. I got extremely lucky, and have 3 cb babies coming in about a week. They don't start with the yellow heads and broad yellow bands, but more like normal salvators. I'm looking forward to taking pictures of the changes as they grow. -Jeff

Hey Phil,

I can guarantee that they will look amazing. Their breeding stock are all very beautiful with bright yellow heads. The one on the pic is one of the ones I got from Duncan at Herpafauna. Captive bred Cumingi look very different than the wild caught parents. The yellow is not quite as bright as the lemon yellow headed imports, but there is a lot more of it. There are a couple pics of a captive bred one on CyberSalvator, and I believe Frank Retes are also captive bred. I don't think there are any pairs left, as I am getting 3 out of the 4 that were in the clutch. They (Herpfauna) do have more eggs incubating so there should be more coming soon. The captive bred Nuchalis should end up looking amazing also. If I had the room, I would probably get some of those also. But, I'm just about out.
