Like many other reptiles, corn snakes never stop growing. "Back in the day" six foot corn snakes were a length listed as being relatively commonplace in literature regarding their maximum size. There are plenty of old, five-footers around today, though 3-1/2 to 4 feet seems to be the average corn snake length.

I have a '96 rootbeer corn that's 5'4" and still growing. Eats small rats every 14 days... of course, he's not a pure corn, but I have a 2006 fluorescent amel that's already past the 2' mark, and is easily 5-6" longer than her clutchmate. I wouldn't be surprised if she tops out at over 5' in a few years

I know someone with a six footer, she's a gorgeous snake!
No one in our local reptile shop will believe she's actually that size

I was just reading that and thought: "Hey, what are the chances, my local shop doesn't believe I have a six footer either!". Then I figured you were talking about me! LOL
