Completely normal reaction. Dragons will darken their colors for various reasons. Often when they first get up, they are darker than they will be after being awake for awhile. This allows them to absorb heat/light faster to warm up. Once their body reaches optimal temps, their color will lightening up to normal. In natural sunlight, the reverse happens. Their color will get even lighter to lessen how much heat/light they absorb.

Other reasons for dragons to darken their colors is when they are highly stressed, sick or very cold. Coming out of a shower? he probably feels cold as the water evaporates off his skin. Once back under his basking light he should turn back to normal.
