antelope Jan 08, 2007 05:00 PM

In Goliad and Refugio counties two days in a row some red eared sliders were basking as well as tons of ground skinks and anoles just under ac. Also seen in Calhoun county were anoles, skinks, r.e. sliders, and a dor diamondbacked water snake, showing a snake on the move.Daytime temps are and were in the low 70's. Had to get back to reality and work today!

Is that first pic a C. mitchelli pyrrhus or a stephensi (Panamint)? I've only seen a Speckled once in my life out @ Box Canyon last year. I take it from the snakes you've got you're somewhere out in the San Bernadino, Riverside or Imperial counties of SoCal. I'm a little north of you in L.A. County (San Fernando Valley area). Great looking snakes. What locale is your Rosy. I'm hoping to find a few this year.
