Couple of pics for Tosha

Kevin_Arbogast Jan 08, 2007 07:01 PM

In an earlier post you asked how my Moluccan was doing, and I thought you might like to see some pics I took of him today. He shed yesterday so he is glowing in his fresh skin.

A pic of my gtp.

Since it is the Ball forum, a pic of one of my pastel females.

So, Tosha have any recent pics of your Angolan?

I tried a different way of uploading the photos, so I could use a little larger image size. Didn't work so here are the smaller versions.

Mols used to be considered a locality of amethystine, but was given full species status -Morelia Clastolepis- several years ago along with Tanimbars -Morelia Nauta- and Halmaheras -Morelia Tracyae. Halmahera pythons were named in honor Tracy Barker, how cool is that!

Awesome I loved how they turned out what type of lighting did you use I like. And I don't remember if I ever asked you but what camera are you using?

Brian, the camera is an Olympus SP-350, a point and shoot with a good selection of manual settings. I plan on getting a digital SLR, but for now this one will have to do. As for the lighting, I just use 200 watt bulbs in clamp lamps.

Cool and it is working for you. I may try to get another lens for my D50 in a month but that depends I just put a down payment on 2 new balls so I might not have enough lol.

Brian it works well enough for now, and I am happy with the quality of pics. I want a few more snakes, more than I want a better camera.

Kevin - he looks gorgeous!!! You need to find a female for him so that I can add something new to my collection!!!

Keep those awesome pictures coming!

Thanks Tosha, and I actually had the chance to pick up two CH females at the fall Orlando show but just didn't have the cash. I even offered to trade him my Yellowbelly for the girls, but the vendor had no interest in Ball Pythons. I hope to find a female Mol this summer along with a couple IJ carpets, savu pythons, and white-lipped pythons.
