Humidity Question

BoaFanatix Jan 08, 2007 10:30 PM

I recently started keeping boas (1 red tail, and 1 bolivian short tail). While researching their care I found out they like about 50%-60% humidity. I decided that I was going to keep my snakes on shredded (not chipped) aspen bedding, and that I would put some shredded coconut fiber (Eco Earth) in there as well. I placed the Eco Earth on the warm side of the tank, but my cages also have a cool side hide house. Do you think that the shredded coconut fiber will cause enough humidity or too much humidity as opposed to misting. Attatched is pic of one of my cages
