kennny Jan 09, 2007 07:23 AM

Hi everyone,

I'm sure this has probably been covered before but i cant find the thread. This is my second year trying to breed, and i've finally been getting some great locks so started looking for an
incubator but i'm really not sure which way to turn. i'm only trying to breed 1 pair so am not looking for anything big just something good for royal eggs, any suggestions?!?!

Kenny

go to your local super walmart to the seafood dept. ask them to save you one of the 2-4 lb lobster insulated shipping boxes (if you cannot get 1 contact me, get 1 heating element and 3 mounting clips from miller manufacturing then get a herpststat thermostat that you will be able to use when you upgrade your incubator fro future clutches. get 2 bags vermiculite and bag perlite from Lowes or home depot

Hovabator makes an inexpensive incubator. Go to a farm store like Farm and Fleet.($30.00) It has a built in thermostat. Perfect for a clutch maybe two. Then go buy a good thermometer with a probe.($15.00) Target or Walmart. Now you have the heat, now you need the humidity. Good luck, Claude
