I've been having problems with mine too.
I'm not sure what it is, but something attacked all 3 of my eggs. They are too small to ID with the naked eye, but they look like tiny white dots. There were millions of them all over my eggs, and within 48 hours, all 3 eggs were litterally reduced to nothing. I'm kinda bumbed because I had hopes that one of them was fertile. Oh well.

sorry to hear that.those white things are probably a lice off the dirt. if you get eggs next time put them in a basket type over some vericulite or even perlite and then maybe you won't have the white bugs. also have you ever tried mite poison on the bugs?it might help.if i can think of anything i will post it.
Two things regarding the small white things on your eggs. 1: Fertile eggs typically do not come under attack from foreign pests. 2: What you probably observed were either a small maggot from some type of fly or it could be mites.
