I don't think you have let on to what you are listening to. I think I saw the faces in there somewhere, but that can't be it.

What's more important is what I don't like so I don't get stuck in a car with someone while herping and listening to their garbage. heh heh!

Yes, I like the Faces. Metallica is also one of my favorite bands. They are golden.

Metallica is a great choice! I am not a fan of their more recent albums but Master of Puppets and Ride The Lightening are amazing. Their new bassist, Robert Trujillo, is insane on the bass as well!
Which Metallica album is your fave?

I like Black.

DISCERN Jan 09, 2007 07:13 PM

There are some good songs on the Black album.
What I really do not like is Load or Reload. Nope..not for me.

the black album was their "introduction to sucktion" album. (that does not mean that album is terrible only everything afterwards) Everything prior was incredible; from the black album on they weren't the same band. They got old and happy with their lives so they could not longer be true metal. I bet that they couldn't even play Damage Inc. today, and that is a testament to what they are not anymore; not even close!

AMEN! They may be one of the greatest bands to ever have existed but they should change the name to Hardrockica.

...is what i'd call a great album-not just some fustercluck of songs thrown together-that was like religion to me when that came out and for years after as well....and yeah that black album marked a clear crossover imho.

Before it came out, I read a review of St. Anger that said that of all their albums it most closely resembled And Justice For All. Justice is my favorite record of theirs, so I got all excited and ran out and bought St. Anger the first day it was released. You can imagine my disappointment when I heard that crapfest. . . .

DISCERN Jan 09, 2007 08:52 PM

Yeah, I highly agree!
St. Anger is St. " Clanger " with that snare drum ringing and ringing and ringing.............
I could not stand the comments made by the producer Bob Rock, saying that was all for art and blah blah blah...same with them leaving out guitar solos....
I didn't like what I heard off of that album, however I did like the documentary though.

And Justice For All is a great album!! I meant to say that one as well.

I agree...MOP is a true album...awesome cover, and each song is its' own, no filler songs anywhere to be found.
