Gravid White-lip?

TimCole Jan 09, 2007 02:47 PM

Normally my albolabris are breeding this time of year. But this female went off feed a month ago and as you can see, looks gravid. Has anyone else on this list had them double clutch?

That looks like a tumor. I have the remedy. Ship her to me for repair.

I have never had one single female double clutch before, but I have had seperate females give birth before in January and in August. If you keep your male with her year round, I don't see a reason why they would'nt double clutch.

Could be a case of sperm storage if she was last with a male in 2005. I had a case of parthenogenic birth in my T. venustus - the female was never with a male but dropped several slugs, a stillborn baby, and one live. The live one died unfortunately several weeks later.

This is what I had thought also.
