Another brooksi question

VicsVariables Jan 10, 2007 02:21 AM

Hi all,
Is there a website with information and pics of the different brooksi morphs? What's the difference between a ghost brooks and an axanthic brooks? I've seen pics of New England axanthics, and they seem to have less pattern and more blue coloration as adults than regualr axanthics. What do adult ghost brooks look like?
Thanks
Vic

difference is a Ghost shows the Axanthism=no red/yellow also shows hypomelanism=reduced black which lightens the Axanthic and gives you ghost.
Axanthic varieties are different locale Floridana as you've seen Fla's are variable in color intensities and New England were originally produced in NE not neccessarily from NE. cool animals in person and pics "get cha some"

Thanks for the info. Yep, I'm definately leaning toward getting a brooksi. I'm trying to decide which one is the most beautiful, to me, now that I know most are pretty hardy. I would love to see pics of adults of different phases....hint hint.

Very nice looking sunburst brooksi. Are those like a poor person's woma?
Those pics are fantastic. It's so cool to see some of the different morphs. Right now, I think I'm leaning toward a sulfur lavender. That beautiful golden color is so eye-catching. (Maybe I'll put my tax refund toward one of those beauties.)
Thanks for the awewsome pics.

that third pic up from the bottom. I would have to say is an exceptional Peanut Butter. Love the patternless area behind the neck and the color is exceptional as well. Turned out real nice. I think it will just get better as it grows.

Another thing I noticed on my older Peanut Butters is after they reach full size they still continue to change colors as they get older.
