Male-female freedom breeder racks

Hi, got 2 FB racks one for mice and one for rats. Does anybody knows the male-female rate that allows each included tray? thanks for your time. Luis

I'm comfortable using 1.3 mice in the small trays and 1.1 rat pairs in the rat tubs. With this grouping, I have a good week between cleanings and have a couple extra days left at the end of the week just in-case I don't have the time to get to them.

You can add more female mice in the smaller trays, however need to clean more often.

With your rat tubs I would place two females per tub and rotate a single male through the line. If the male fails to produce, get a replacement asap.
